Fall is here!

We are finally experiencing Fall like weather.  It’s been wonderful!

On Monday we went to the Huntington (again!) to roam around.  It was cloudy and even sprinkled a bit while we were eating lunch.  Probably not the best day to see the gardens but the kids had fun!  IMG_8443 Getting some energy outIMG_8446 IMG_8429 Rain over the Chinese GardensIMG_8431 Sun is starting to peak outIMG_8432 Rain up at our house but the sun is shining where we areIMG_8450Exhibit of lightbulbs

Cooking with Pumpkin

Daddy and Piper took a cooking class with pumpkin at the Huntington.  They made pumpkin ice-cream, pumpkin butter, pumpkin bread and pumpkin soup.  After that they had lunch in the Chinese gardens and played a game of checkers using acorns and dried leaves.  IMG_4845 IMG_4822 (1) IMG_4844 CheckersIMG_4837

Happy Halloween!

Piper had the great idea to be salt and pepper shakers for Halloween.  Their costumes are pillowcases that we altered for the head and arms. Then we cut out and glued the felt letters.  The hats are chef hats from the dollar store that we spray painted and attached felt circles on top.  Happy Halloween!DSC_0405 DSC_0401 DSC_0412 DSC_0414 DSC_0400 DSC_0421 (1)
