We were craving some delicious fresh produce so we took a trip up to Underwood Farms. It was a bit hot but we all had a good time. The kids played on the slide before we headed out to the fields. Today we got to take a tractor out so we didn’t have to walk as far in the heat. The Tractor Slide Driving the tractor Cruising out to pick. The kids look so hot in this photo. Carrots! We learned you need a tool to get them out of the ground. We came equipped this time. Pickling cucumbers! Our basket full of goodies. We feasted tonight at dinner! The best part was picking Roma tomatoes at 25 cents per pound! Beautiful.

Miniature Golfing at the Arroyo Seco
We found a miniature golf course at the Arroyo Seco Golf course in South Pasadena. It’s small, slightly worn but very charming. It kind of reminded us of home. A hidden gem perfect for our crew right in our own backyard! We can’t wait to go back! Mini-golf California style with Palm Trees as backdropsEven included a windmill so we felt right at home!
Legoland!
We spent Sunday at Legoland which was lots of fun for the kids. It’s a very cute park! A mini version of Los Angeles (the Griffith Observatory, Hollywood sign and Chinese Theater) Riding some legoplanes Driving around. Andrew was on another set of cars that were in his age group. He did so well steering all by himself too. Putting out fires Pulling up to the top and letting the rope drop Clock StarwarsAnd finally a mini version of the Hollywood Bowl – too cute!!!
Weekend Getaway
This weekend we escaped to Carlsbad to relax and go to Legoland before school starts. We played at the beach in the morning and then swam at the pool all afternoon. On Saturday we even ate our dinner by the pool. The resort had all kinds of fun stuff for the kids so we mainly stayed on the grounds. We brought our clubs so we could putt at the greens there. They even had a game room which we hung out at night. It was really beautiful and very relaxing! The kids had so much fun they didn’t want to leave. At the Carlsbad State Beach. The Moon Light Beach. It was a bit cool in the morning so we just collected shells and rocks. We will definitely be going back to this beach. We couldn’t get enough of the pool! Andrew started going under the water all by himself. At first he held onto the wall and by mid-afternoon he was going under everywhere. The kids would count to three and go under together. Piper was also diving down to find a rock. We have such water-bugs! Relaxing with Baby-doll The mini-pool perfect size for Andrew. After dinner running around the property The putting greens. Piper cracks us up in this photo.
