Putting Contest Winners

On the last day of junior golf camp there is always a putting contest.  Piper has been looking forward to this all week.  We weren’t sure it was going to happen because of the weather. Luckily the rain stopped for the hour of the contest.  We arrived early and Piper practiced in some drizzle before the event began.  Her practice paid off and after 9 holes she took first place with a score of 16. She competed against ten girls ages 4-7.  Andrew also did well and took third place with a score of 22. He competed against ten boys ages 4-7.  We were pretty impressed with Andrew being one of the younger ones to place. Our friends Katherine and Elizabeth came in second and third. Afterwards we celebrated at the new pizza shop in town.DSC_0073 DSC_0067 The players and coaches.DSC_0076IMG_5042 IMG_5056 Proud winners!IMG_5055 IMG_5060 IMG_5067 IMG_5065

Junior Golf Camp

Piper and Andrew are participating in the county junior golf camp this week over at the Santa Anita Course.  We missed Monday due to the rain but the last two days have been gorgeous.  Their friends Katherine and Elizabeth are also doing it.  Each day they rotate working on putting, chipping and driving.  Andrew did great driving the ball today.  We can’t wait for him to start lessons this summer.IMG_5009 It’s a beautiful courseIMG_5028 IMG_5014 IMG_5012 IMG_5002 IMG_5020 IMG_5021IMG_5027

Family Dinner Night

We had a wonderful afternoon with Grandma and Grandpa Deelo.  They brought the rain with them again this year as tradition.  The only unfortunately thing we couldn’t go out and explore.  We did enjoy a wonderful Italian dinner with homemade pasta together.  Yum!
