A Beautiful Day

Today we took Daddy up to the Reagan Library in Simi Valley.  Piper insisted on doing everything the same as when we were there before.  It was a beautiful day after some days of rain.  We had a lot of fun.DSC_0206

Miss you, Grandma!

We miss you so much especially Piper.  She still gets sad when she realizes you’ve gone home.  Thank you for all your help while you were out.  It was great having you out for a nice long visit.  We hope to see you and Grandpa very soon!  IMG_2268

Day Trip to Santa Barbara

We made a trip up to Santa Barbara to enjoy the wonderful weather.  The kids played frisbee and looked for shells.  For lunch we ate at the Rose Cafe which we haven’t been to in years.  We also checked out the bluff at the Douglas Family Preserve where we saw a school of dolphins.  Then before driving home we played a little more on another beach.  The kids enjoyed every minute and hope to do it all again soon.DSC_0121 DSC_0140 DSC_0150DSC_0143DSC_0167The bluff at the Douglas Family Preserve.  What a view!! DSC_0166DSC_0175DSC_0201DSC_0198DSC_0187DSC_0191 DSC_0168

Day Trip to the Mountains

We headed up to the mountains to see some snow today.  It was only about a 45 minute drive out to Mt. Baldy.  The kids had fun making snowballs and seeing the snow.  It’s been so cold here lately that it didn’t feel that cold up at the top.  We had lunch at the Mt. Baldy Lodge before going home.  They had delicious hot chocolate with tons of marshmallows. DSC_0296   DSC_0305Piper took this photo for us.DSC_0303 DSC_0299 DSC_0318Grandma enjoying one of the last day trips before she heads back home.DSC_0333 DSC_0332 DSC_0314We really need to invest in mittens for Andrew.DSC_0335IMG_2254Yummy hot chocolate!IMG_2249IMG_2262DSC_0307 View from the top looking downIMG_2265This is the mountain we drove up.  Hoping to go back after our next snow.
