Up Close and Personal with the Float

I’m a little late posting these photo of the floats.  Our friend was a Rose Parade Volunteer and was able to take us on a V.I.P. tour of 6 floats being created.  We were lucky because he took us around on the floor level so we could see them up close.  Then we went to view them from above on the rafters.  It was amazing to watch the people apply such detail to the floats.  They all turned out gorgeous! img_2599-1 img_2590 img_2547-3 img_2548 The tires were made out of seaweedimg_0206 You can see this woman is using tweezers to apply beans to the floatimg_2552 Adding carnations one flower at a timeimg_2563 Look at the levels to make it all happenimg_2561-1 Layout of what flowers to apply whereimg_2559 Busy working at the table breaking a part flower piecesimg_2569 View from aboveimg_2577
