We woke up early to see the Blue Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse and it didn’t disappoint. Luckily we could see it from our bedroom so we didn’t have to out into the cold morning.

The Wild Animal Sanctuary
Sunday’s adventure was to The Wild Animal Sanctuary which is only a 40 minute drive from Denver. It’s a 720 acre refuge for more than 450 rescued animals. The facility is the largest carnivore sanctuary in the world. There is an elevated footbridge that looks out onto the animals in their habitats. Today we saw Bears, Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Leopards, Bobcats, Lynx, a Porcupine and a few Bald Eagles. It was an amazing place! Each animal has a story on how it was rescued. Next time we will bring our camera.

Busy Week
Piper participated in another Spelling Bee. She did great but was not one of the top five.
Dentist appointments for both. No cavities! Hard to believe Piper has only 6 more baby teeth to lose.

Flat Stanley was visiting from Micah’s class. We showed him the sights including our favorite ice cream place.

Snowy Weekend
We finally had a decent snowfall. It started late Saturday night and snowed all day on Sunday. Luckily we were able to hunker in and just enjoy it. Piper was starting to get a cold so she really enjoyed being stuck inside. Saturday night we went to the open gym at Bounce with friends.
So much snow!
After dinner we went night sledding. It was great because we were the only ones on the hill. It was so fun!
