Andrew’s teacher asked him to read a story to the class today.  He read one of his favorite Elephant and Piggie books.  The class loved it.  

Sunday we spent the afternoon at the Muir Woods National Monument.  There were lots of giant Red Wood Trees!    On our way into the city we passed a bunch of seals sunning themselves The weather couldn’t have been better

We saw lots of animals on our trip. This little guy strolled right by our car on the way to the lighthouse.  There were so many deer along the countryside.  We even had two in our backyard one night.  We were so lucky and spotted a pod of 4 whales swimming by.  White tail deer   Tule Elk  And lots and lots of cows! This group was right along the road and not behind any sort of fence. I guess this is how the Point Reyes Seashore Cows live. They also had a nice view of the ocean.

After our adventures at Point Reyes we headed closer to home in Tomales Bay.  We enjoyed another great meal at Nick’s Cove and then headed to Dillion Beach for the sunsetNick’s Cove in the background this time without the wind  Views of Tomales Bay  Dillion Beach

On Friday we did some exploring in the Point Reyes National Seashore.  First stop was the lighthouse.  There were incredible views from there.  Then we headed over to Drakes Beach.  300 steps down to the lighthouse…  And 300 steps back up… Drakes Beach Tide pools On top of the world
