Friday the girls sang Christmas carols and gave out gifts at the local nursing home.  Last Saturday the girls had a night out at the rock climbing gym.Zoe!

It was a beautiful night to see the Zoo Lights.  We were lucky enough to see some animals who were still up too. 

On Sunday we visited Santa at Union Station.

We spent a wonderful day in Evergreen.  The weather and scenery were beautiful.  We had lunch, did a walk around the lake, hiked a bit and stopped at Red Rocks on the way home.  The lake was frozen over.  Big hike up  A quick stop at Red Rocks that was on our way home.

Piper qualified for the Spelling Bee this year which was very exciting!  She was one of the top 10 to represent her school.  There were many words to learn but she was ready!  43 total students from schools around the area participated.  Piper did fantastic!  She was part of the top twelve.  We are so proud of her doing so well on her first Spelling Bee!!  Students from Isabella Bird Piper and good friend Alec
