What a fun way to start school by having a solar eclipse happen on the first day. The parents and families were invited to school so we could all be together. It was a neat experience!
First Day of School!
School finally started. Piper’s first day was on Monday and Andrew started on Tuesday. They both had great days. There is another new girl in Piper’s class and they hit it off right away. We are slowly getting into a school routine but we are off to a good start!
Their mascot is a dragon. The Izzy Bird Dragons.
Rockies Game!
End of Summer Fun in Denver
We were so happy to see our good friends Laura, Brennan and Sean in Colorado. They were out visiting family and took us to Casa Bonita for lunch. It was quite an experience! The kids had a lot of fun. We can’t wait for this group to visit again!
Yes, they have divers who dive into a pool!
There is live entertainment every 15 minutes. This was a skit involving a gorilla. Very cheesy! They also had a puppet show and piñata for the kids while we were there.
Another beautiful rainbow.
Piper got glasses!
At the Rockies Game with Aunt Becca and Uncle Tommy who were also out visiting.
Last minute swimming before school on Monday.
Walking home from Mici’s dinner.
Stars Above Aspen
Taking the gondola up the mountain!
Up, up and away!
They had so many crafts and education stations for the kids before the sun went down. It was really well done and not overly crowded. Once the sun set they had multiple telescopes to view the stars and planets. Plus, they had guides explaining the different constellations. We had a great time! (Liquid nitrogen ice cream above)
Face painting and solar system crowns.
The stars all came out and it was so beautiful. We have never seen so many stars like this. We hope to make this an annual event. It was just amazing!! (Pictured is Jupiter)
