Drive to RMNP

After lunch we took a drive to the top of Rocky Mountain National Park. It was our lucky day because we saw 5 more Moose! We also saw lots of snow at the top. What a beautiful drive!

This was the first time we have ever seen a Moose and it was so exciting!

Hike to Adams Falls

We hiked up to Adams Falls which is one of our favorite hikes in Grand Lake. We are so glad Aunt Sandy showed us this last summer. The hike to the falls isn’t far but if you continue it opens up into a beautiful meadow. This time we took the trail even farther and discovered another overlook into a meadow on the opposite side. What a view! We were also lucky enough to see a Moose and her baby at this spot.

Horseback Riding in the Mountains

We were able to get away up to Grand County for a few days. It was just the break we needed!

Our first day there we went horseback riding at High Country Trails Ranch in Granby. The kids had a blast! The scenery was beautiful too!

Bird Watching

A quick pause from our regular blog to show some of the neat birds we have seen while bird watching. They were spotted at either Bluff or Barr Lake.

American White Pelican. These guys migrate to our state every summer from the Gulf of Mexico. They are enormous and so beautiful to watch.
