First Time Skiing at Loveland

Piper and Andrew tried out skiing for the first time today at Loveland.  They took an all day lesson that started on the magic carpet and ended with them riding the lift up the hill.  Both of them did great and they can’t wait to try it again. Magic Carpet to take them to the top of the bunny slope. Working on turns.  We enjoyed getting our ski legs back too.  It was a beautiful day to be skiing!

The Wild Animal Sanctuary

Sunday’s adventure was to The Wild Animal Sanctuary which is only a 40 minute drive from Denver.  It’s a 720 acre refuge for more than 450 rescued animals.  The facility is the largest carnivore sanctuary in the world.  There is an elevated footbridge that looks out onto the animals in their habitats.  Today we saw Bears, Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Leopards, Bobcats, Lynx, a Porcupine and a few Bald Eagles.  It was an amazing place!  Each animal has a story on how it was rescued.  Next time we will bring our camera.  Lions snoozingMore Lions Grey Wolves A beautiful Tiger Bobcat
