The Zoo had a holiday special today where the kids could pet real bunnies, color bunny ears and sit on the Easter Bunny’s lap.  We enjoyed it all and the gorgeous day.  Piper even met some Fairies.

Piper’s been on Spring Break this week which has given us the opportunity to do more things.  Today we went to the Descanso Gardens.  The weather was perfect and the lilacs and tulips were in full bloom. 

We had a very busy day today.  Grandma took Piper to a story time in the morning.  It was a special Easter theme and afterwards they enjoyed a snack together outside.  In the afternoon we headed over to Kidspace for a free family night.  Unfortunately it was a zoo there so we didn’t stay long.  We adopted our caterpillars and hung out in the grassy field outside. 

Piper named her caterpillar Emily and Andrew’s Mickey (because he loves Mickey Mouse).  She choose the bigger one to be hers because she’s the big sister.  These guys are easy to take care of.  They just eat what is provided in the cases.  All we have to do for now is watch them grown.  In two weeks or so they should turn into butterflies.

This afternoon we went to Lacy Park so Piper could ride her bike.  They have a great big loop around the park that is all flat.  She went around twice with Andrew running right beside her.  Before we left the kids played in the park area. 

I couldn’t keep up because they were going so fast.  Andrew kept right along side her the whole way around.

I bet nobody can find me now
