Weekend Getaway – Sunday

Sunday morning we went into downtown San Francisco to Ghiradelli Square for an ice-cream treat.  The kids split a brownie sundae and loved every bite.  After that we walked down to Fishermen’s Wharf for clam chowder bread bowls before the Giant’s baseball game.  This was a first for the kids and they really enjoyed it.  The highlight for them was playing in the kids area in the outfield.  They have a giant slide inside the Coke bottle and mini field.  Unfortunately our flight was delayed getting home.  On top of that there was no one to move the jetway over to the plane so we again had to wait to get off.  We arrived home very late.  The forces were definitely against us getting home.

Loving our treat!

What a beautiful park!

Weekend Getaway – Saturday

This weekend we had an opportunity to stay and play in San Francisco.  It was great to get out of the heat.  Saturday we went to the Burlingame Arts Festival in the morning then we spent the rest of the day in the pool.  There was a giant waterside which was lots of fun!  Piper wore a life jacket and was swimming all around.  Every time she gets in the water she gets more courage.  That evening we had delicious seafood along the water.

Both kids weren’t too sure of the waterside after going down it.

Cooling Off

It’s been extremely hot here all week.  Today we went back down to Mother’s Beach in hopes to cool off.  Even the beach was hot.  The kids had a great time and we met up with our friends Erin and Caden.

First we need a map to find our way to the beach.  Thanks to Piper for my awesome pink car!
