This morning we walked the Cal Tech College campus.  It was cooler out than it looked but the kids still had fun running around.    

It was a rainy cold day on Friday so we made oatmeal raisin (daddy’s favorite) and iced sugar cookies for Valentine’s Day.  As you can see from the photos the kids had fun. The new nighttime routine is for Piper to read Andrew a story in her bed.  It’s really sweet.  Andrew checking out a story at the book storeColoring together at Trader Joe’s  Snuggled up together watching a show.  They get under the blanket all by themselves.  It’s really sweet.The gang at the Super Bowl party from last week.  Piper the rose amongst the thorns…

Over the weekend mom went out of town on a girls weekend to Cambria.  This was the first time the kids and I have ever really been separated.  It all worked out great though.  They were so busy with daddy that the time flew by.  He took them grocery shopping, to the Home Depot for the kids project, to a few parks, out to lunch and over to our friends for dinner.  Plus on top of this he made a meal for our friend who just had a baby, side dishes to another dinner on Saturday and all the meat for the Super Bowl party.  WOW!  Piper was good until bedtime when she missed mommy but the kids were super!   watching a show before bed putting together heart boxes at the Home Depot making sand castles at Grant Parkeating at Lemonade A few photos from the trip: gloomy morning along the coast Wine tasting at Paso Robles sea creatures in the tidal poolsSeals taking a rest on the rocks  Elephant seals
