Family Bowl Fun

Piper and Andrew have been wanting to go bowling and today was the perfect day since it’s still gloomy out.  We had so much fun!  Andrew was such a team player.  He stood beside whoever was bowling cheering them on.  IMG_6124 IMG_6111 IMG_6097 IMG_6103 IMG_6089IMG_6121A spare!  IMG_6107

Fun Day at HPA

I was a busy bee at Piper’s school today.  I volunteered in the art room this morning.  The kids are still learning about Vincent Van Gogh.  The art teacher read a story about him as the kids colored. Things are winding down with only one art class left. This afternoon I helped out with the Author reading.  All week the students have been writing their own fairytale story and then today they read them out loud to the parents.  It was very fun! Only 8 more days to go until the end of the year.IMG_6073 Art roomIMG_6076 Mrs. Brune reading.  Piper sitting with her best bud Nathan.IMG_6080 Nathan and Piper with their storiesIMG_6078 IMG_6083A silly girl!

Piper’s Piano Recital

Piper’s piano recital was today at the Pasadena Main Library.  There were about 17 kids ranging from 4 years to high school who played.  Piper played a song that she has learned using both hands.  Her teacher commended her on being able to harmonize with only playing for 6 months.  She said usually her students don’t learn to do that until much later in the lessons.  IMG_4371 IMG_6053 With Mrs. Clayson the teacher and friend FrancescaIMG_6050Waiting for our turn

Junior Golf Camp

This week the kids have been participating in the Junior Golf camp sponsored by the county.  It was held at the Altadena Golf course this time.  As always it ends in a putting contest.  Andrew did great and came in first place for a gold medal.  He really took his time and concentrated. Piper also did well and took home a silver medal.  It was a another great week of golf!IMG_6036 IMG_6035 So proud!!IMG_6032 IMG_6013 All the kids that participated and the coaches.  Andrew and Piper both played in the 3-7 age groups.  Next time Piper will be with the 8 year olds!IMG_5946 Practicing putting during the weekIMG_5944 IMG_5958 At the driving rangeIMG_5970 ChippingIMG_5995 Putting contestIMG_5994 IMG_6039Our winners!!
