We spent another afternoon up at the Wildlife Refuge.  This time we checked out the lakes around the area.  They were beautiful.  In the Spring we can fish up there.  We also saw a ton of deer and some bison.  One guy was taking a stroll along the side of the road.

We’ve had another busy week.  Last Sunday it was very windy so we took advantage by flying our kites.  Tuesday was the last basketball clinic for the season.  On Wednesday we had a fun time bowling with our neighbors at the Punch Bowl Social.

 It was a gorgeous weekend here.  Warm temperatures and blue skies!  Piper and Andrew had Friday off so we walked to the library and had lunch in the park.   Saturday we walked to the library again and did some crafts with daddy.Sunday we went on an excursion to Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge to see bison, mule deer, black-footed ferrets and prairie dogs.  Up close with the bison.  Gilbert wanting to play with the new race track.

A select few from Piper’s 4th grade were invited to attend The Colorado Environmental Film Festival out in Golden.  The students watched several films produced by youth from all over the United States.  They also were able to ask questions about the films with the film makers and students. It was really educational and a neat experience.
