The weather is heating up and we are keeping cool.

The weather took a cool turn for the weekend after being in the 80’s.  Saturday’s soccer game was very chilly.  It was only 50 degrees and windy.  We also did a small hike around Bluff Lake, went swimming at the Rec Center and hung out with friends.

Looking forward to a great weekend!  Only a few more day of school left until summer.

 Piper has been working hard on her handstands.On Friday it was a beach themed day in Andrew’s class and they made tie-dye shirts.  Earlier in the week they got to make ice cream.

The Girl Scouts honored their Hometown Hero at the UCHealth Hospital.  One of the Scout’s mom is going through cancer treatments there so the girls wanted to give thanks to the doctors and nurses.  This mom also just happens to be our neighbor and is such a warrior! The girls met with volunteer services who spoke to them about cancer and the impact the girls’ donation will have on staff, patients, and their families. Piper was very proud to be a part of this.  

Summer is right around the corner and with that is the start of the neighborhood food trucks.  Every other Tuesday there will be different food trucks to choose from.  It’s a great way to be outside with all our great neighbors enjoying some great food!   This week they even had ice cream!
