5th Grade Fun!

The 5th graders are making the most of the last few weeks of school.  On Thursday their class got to walk to the ice cream store and miss all of their afternoon studies.  Then on Friday there was a dance for the 5th graders only. Mother’s Day

The kids were so sweet to me on Mother’s Day.  They cooked dinner, made fresh lemonade, ran a bath, gave me a massage and cleaned the kitchen.  Plus, they made homemade cards.  What a great Mother’s Day!Chicken quesadillas and chips and salsa.

They each wrote a loving note inside the booklet.

Paper Airplane Contest

One of the shops at the Stanley Market place celebrated their 2nd anniversary with a paper airplane competition.  Andrew loves making paper airplanes so we scootered over.  He folded his plane to perfection and flew it 80 feet.  That was enough to win first place in his age group!  His prize was a $25 gift card to the store.  What a great day!  Andrew also had a great soccer game in the morning.  Their team won again and he was close to scoring a goal.

May Snow

We had more snow today.  People warned us that there is normally snow around Mother’s day and they were right this year.  Hopefully this is the last.  The whole week has been rainy and cold. We went to International Night at the school this evening.  They had all kinds of fun stations to learn about different cultures and a potluck.  Piper really wanted to see her best bud Lily dance.  Was a fun evening.
