We explored a new area at the Huntington Gardens on Sunday. The discovery of a new path led us to the mausoleum where the Huntington’s are buried. It’s considered to be modeled after the Jefferson Memorial in D.C. and was designed by John Russell Pope. What a beautiful site that not many people know is there. It sits on top of a hill and over looks the grounds. The best part is we were the only ones up there to enjoy it. We will be keeping our secrete safe.

Ho! Ho! Ho! Santa Day!
Santa was visiting the Huntington Gardens today so we stopped down to say hello. This year Andrew was very excited to see him and he wasn’t afraid at all. It was very sweet. Piper of course was also very excited.
Santa always makes the visit a memorable one. He takes his time with each child talking to them about what they would like and makes other small talk. After our visit we enjoyed some cookies and hot cocoa by the fireplace before running around in the gardens. I must mention how cold it is here. It’s amazing to think last week we were at the beach. Now we are bundled up. Brrrr!!

An Evening at the Huntington
We spent one last great night with Grandma and Grandpa at the Huntington Gardens for a members event. They had boutique shops, the fireplace roaring and plenty of hot apple cider to keep us warm. We had fun at the photo booth they had set up too. It was a lovely evening.
The kids were very sad to see Grandma and Grandpa go. It seems to get harder and harder every time we have to say good-bye. Our visit together was wonderful and can’t thank them enough for all their help with the kids and around the house. Looking forward to being together again soon.
