Today was Andrew’s first day starting at Sunrise Preschool.  He seemed very excited although I’m not sure he really knows what it means to go to school.  Piper couldn’t be more proud of him and is very excited for him to start at her old school.  She has been talking about Sunrise for the last several weeks getting him ready.  The conversation in the back of the car during drop offs was so cute.  They were talking about the school day. They both were beaming with excitement.  Andrew will attend an extended day including lunch but will only go Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Hope it’s a good year! First Day!  Photo is from Back to School Night where we were able to meet the teachers and play in the classroom.Cute photo unfortunately Piper blinked.

Happy Grandparents Day to the ones we LOVE so much!!  

Andrew loves playing Zingo.  It’s a bingo game with little yellow tiles that you match up to the photos on the cards.  He plays this morning, noon and night.  It’s a good thing because it is way too HOT to do anything outside… ZINGO!

As a special celebration on the the first day we went out to lunch with Piper’s best friend Bella.  We went to the Scarlett Tea room which was very fancy.  Then we painted pottery at Color Me Mine.  It was a great way to celebrate the day. Piper and Bella.  The girls hit it off right away after meeting each other.  They are in separate classes but still see one another at recess and at lunch.  So cute! (Bella just turned 5 in July) Enjoying their tea and sweet treats!

Piper started her first day at High Point Academy today.  She was very excited and a bit nervous but we know she will do fine.  Her teacher is Mrs. Vernon who we have seen around town over the summer making it a bit more comforting.  The first two days she will only go a half day.  Piper gave me a big hug and waved good-bye without any sadness.  We are so proud but it is all bittersweet.   Showing off her school uniform.    Her classroom.  The whole school is an open campus and not in a traditional building.  Her desk.
