18 Months and a Check-up

It’s hard to believe Piper is now a year and a half!  She went to see the doctor today who commented how great she has developed. Piper has grown quite a bit since last time is now 32 inches tall.  She also gained two pounds for a total weight of 23 pounds 4 oz.  Of course, there were two more shots but she didn’t cry as hard as she normally does.  We don’t see the doctor again until she turns 2.

A few things worth noting…  Piper says lots words now, we think it’s well between 20 -40.  One of which is “funny” and the neat thing is she knows what it means and says it at the right time.  Piper can also run really well, walk backwards and even recognize daddy’s car.  Twice now she’s been out with mommy and spotted the same color car and called out “daddy, daddy”.  We can also ask her for a book by saying the title and she’ll go and find it even if it’s not in the same room.

A Visit with Benjamin

Piper went to go visit her good friend Ben today at his new house.  It’s in a great neighborhood right beside the park.  What could be better?  They took a ride in the wagon over to the playground and got busy.  The kids are getting better at playing together although sharing is still a battle.  Piper loves to visit Ben because he has the best toys.  She was in love with his Elmo dolls today.
