Celebrating at Disney

Today, Andrew and mommy took Piper to Disneyland to celebrate her birthday.  What a fun time we had!  Piper got a birthday button from Disney and all the staffed wished her birthday greetings throughout the day.  We rode all of Piper’s favorite rides.  Piper really wanted to see Minnie Mouse.  We went to Toon Town where her house is in hopes to see her.  But it just so happened she was walking down the street like she knew we were coming and set up shop in an area where we were to take pictures.  Luckily Piper was the first in line.  She gave Piper a very special hug and kiss for her birthday.  That made her day!!  After that we had a really nice lunch together then headed for home.Piper’s favorite ride today was Alice in Wonderland which we went on two times in a row!Loving it’s A Small World.  Andrew was mesmerized.

The Carousel which is always a favorite (This is probably Andrew’s favorite ride)

Party Time

Saturday we went to our friend’s birthday and farewell party.  They had a huge bouncy house with a slide.  Mommy!  Please get me down!

Cooling Off at the Beach

WOW!  It’s HOT here.  The temperatures have been 102-104 degrees the last two days.  It was still 102 at 6:00pm last night and already 100 at 10:30am this morning.  We had a bunch of things to do today but decided to head to the beach instead and cool off.  It was just too hot to do anything.  We drove out to Zuma Beach in Malibu and it was gorgeous!  The kids had so much fun in the water and building sandcastles.  We wish we could have stayed forever!  We even saw a dolphin family swim by.

First Day of School

Piper started her first day at her new school today.  It’s another year of preschool but it’s an advanced class for those who are older and missed the cutoff for kindergarden.  She will go 5 days a week from 9:00am -Noon.  On Tuesday night we went to an open house to meet her teachers and see her classroom.  The teachers also sent a nice note to the students that arrived yesterday.  All of this got her very excited for today.  She was ready to go a half hour early.  When we arrived in her classroom her eyes lit up at all the wonderful projects they had ready for the children.  She kissed me good-bye and was ready to start the day.  I think it’s going to be a good year!  (Also, to note there are 9 girls in her class!  Whoo-hoo!)Entering the classroomThe card the teachers sentPiper and mommy had an ice-cream treat together on afternoon
