Rockies Game!

Our friend gave us her tickets for Sunday’s game.  She told us they were pretty good seats but they turned out to be great!  We were four rows back behind first base.  Wow! The nice thing about attending the games is we can take the train to and from.  It’s a quick and easy ride!

End of Summer Fun in Denver

We were so happy to see our good friends Laura, Brennan and Sean in Colorado.  They were out visiting family and took us to Casa Bonita for lunch.  It was quite an experience!  The kids had a lot of fun.  We can’t wait for this group to visit again!   Yes, they have divers who dive into a pool!  There is live entertainment every 15 minutes.  This was a skit involving a gorilla.  Very cheesy!  They also had a puppet show and piñata for the kids while we were there.  Another beautiful rainbow. Piper got glasses! At the Rockies Game with Aunt Becca and Uncle Tommy who were also out visiting.  Last minute swimming before school on Monday. Walking home from Mici’s dinner.

Stars Above Aspen

Taking the gondola up the mountain!  Up, up and away! They had so many crafts and education stations for the kids before the sun went down. It was really well done and not overly crowded.  Once the sun set they had multiple telescopes to view the stars and planets.  Plus, they had guides explaining the different constellations.  We had a great time!  (Liquid nitrogen ice cream above) Face painting and solar system crowns. The stars all came out and it was so beautiful.  We have never seen so many stars like this.  We hope to make this an annual event.  It was just amazing!!  (Pictured is Jupiter)

Road Trip to Aspen

We were lucky to go to Aspen for the Stars Above Aspen Event. Aunt Becca was finishing up her job there and Uncle Tommy came out for the fun. We spent Monday hiking the Maroon Bells and then that evening we took the gondola up in Aspen to view the stars.  It was a great couple of days!    Breathtaking views of the Maroon Bells Mountain Range.  There is still some snow on the mountains.  Beaver dam!  We saw this little guy as we were leaving our hotel. Taking a ride to the lower level of the Snowmass Village on Sunday night.  Swimming in the pool on Sunday night.

Train to Downtown Denver

Today we took the train from Stapleton to Union Station and walked up to the 16th Street Mall.  It was a very fun and easy adventure.  We hope to do it again soon!  Union Station which is a beautiful building  The 16th Street Mall
