Stars Above Aspen

Taking the gondola up the mountain!  Up, up and away! They had so many crafts and education stations for the kids before the sun went down. It was really well done and not overly crowded.  Once the sun set they had multiple telescopes to view the stars and planets.  Plus, they had guides explaining the different constellations.  We had a great time!  (Liquid nitrogen ice cream above) Face painting and solar system crowns. The stars all came out and it was so beautiful.  We have never seen so many stars like this.  We hope to make this an annual event.  It was just amazing!!  (Pictured is Jupiter)

Road Trip to Aspen

We were lucky to go to Aspen for the Stars Above Aspen Event. Aunt Becca was finishing up her job there and Uncle Tommy came out for the fun. We spent Monday hiking the Maroon Bells and then that evening we took the gondola up in Aspen to view the stars.  It was a great couple of days!    Breathtaking views of the Maroon Bells Mountain Range.  There is still some snow on the mountains.  Beaver dam!  We saw this little guy as we were leaving our hotel. Taking a ride to the lower level of the Snowmass Village on Sunday night.  Swimming in the pool on Sunday night.
