Piper’s class took a field trip to Young AmeriTowne.  There they teach banking, business and economics in a fun and hands-on way.  They have activities that introduce concepts such as supply and demand, job skills and work habits, banking procedures, democratic processes, civic consciousness, and career readiness.  The kids work in their hired positions to run their business successfully.  On breaks they spend their hard earned salaries around town and track expenditures in their personal checking accounts. It was a great experience.  Piper worked in the Medical Center as a Health Technician.  Showing her checks and deposit slip for her paycheck.

We kept cool over the weekend.  Friday night we hit the pool in our new donut float. Sunday we went back to the water slides for some fun.  Monday they had a party at all the pools to end the season.  We met Piper’s new friend Raegan and family there. Great way to end summer.
