Piper’s class took a field trip to Young AmeriTowne.  There they teach banking, business and economics in a fun and hands-on way.  They have activities that introduce concepts such as supply and demand, job skills and work habits, banking procedures, democratic processes, civic consciousness, and career readiness.  The kids work in their hired positions to run their business successfully.  On breaks they spend their hard earned salaries around town and track expenditures in their personal checking accounts.
