Cooking Class

Piper and her friend Francesca took a cooking class this morning.  They made two kinds of cookies from scratch.  They had so much fun and can’t wait to take another class together again.IMG_7837 IMG_4647 IMG_4640 The kitchenIMG_4669 (1) IMG_4673 (1) IMG_7844 IMG_7848 IMG_7850 IMG_4684 IMG_7846

Chef Petite Piper

Our neighbor had a cooking challenge for Piper.  His granddaughter had recently made him breakfast that included an omelet she made by herself.  Juan though Piper could do that same thing but she took it to the next level.  She create her own menu of items she could make all on her own and it was a big hit! They were really impressed.  IMG_7802 Mr. Juan and Joanne who live across the street from us.  The are so sweet!  Mr. Juan dressed for the occasion.IMG_7833The menu for Piper’s and Pickle’s CafeIMG_7785 (1) Slicing tomatoes like her daddy taught her to create the Caprese saladIMG_7787 (1) Yummy!IMG_7798 Mini pizzas made from a baguette topped with mozzarella and tomato sauce  IMG_7789 (1) Her signature desert… chocolate covered strawberriesIMG_7797 (1)A rare rainbow over the mountains

First Day of School

School is finally here.  Piper starts second grade and Andrew will be in transitional kindergarten.  I love how motivated everyone is to get to school on time for the first day! Piper was a little nervous but excited.  Andrew was excited and happy!  DSC_0165 (1) DSC_0166 DSC_0167 IMG_7810 Hight Point is celebrating 50 yearsIMG_7811IMG_7815 IMG_7817Mrs. Elby!

School is finally starting!  We saw Andrew’s classroom on Tueday night.  He will have Mrs. Elby who Piper had when she was 5.  He is looking forward to school and it should be a good year.  IMG_7770 IMG_7775 Today we saw Piper’s classroom and met Mrs. Shaw.  Looks like a busy year!IMG_7776 IMG_7778 Mrs. ShawIMG_7773 Andrew’s cubbyIMG_7777 Piper’s deskIMG_7780 Piper will now play on the lower playground.  Yes, it’s 106 and they are playing…so hotIMG_7792Lunch with friends
