I stumbled upon these photos taken two years ago at Falkner Farms.  How little they were!

Today we went to the Falkner farm pumpkin patch.  The weather was cool so it actually felt like fall this year.  The kids played in the hay maze and corn maze for most of our visit. Then we took a hayride, had lunch and picked pumpkins.  It was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday in October.  Such a beautiful farm  The hay maze Giant pumpkins  more giant pumpkins top of the hay pyramid

It was a great weekend to be home.  My dad’s honorary ceremony was so nice.  I’m so proud of him and so proud to be his daughter.  It was wonderful to be surrounded by family and friends that evening.  Thanks to everyone who came out and gave their support!  The kids stayed busy with daddy.  We were all glad to be back together again. The Duck!! Our gorgeous city You can’t help but smile…

For Piper’s birthday party we went to Paint the Town in San Marino.  We invited her whole kindergarten class of girls and amazingly everyone was able to come.  It was great to meet all her classmates.  All the girls get along so well together.

Piper picked the painting she wanted to which was an owl with a flower.  Everyone starts with a blank canvas and the teacher guides them on how to layout the painting first in chalk.  After drawing out the owl they painted the background.  Next they painted the owl and last were the little details which also were drawn out with chalk before painting.  The girls were free to choose the color paints to make it each painting their own.  In between they did some fun dancing.  At the end we sang happy birthday and had cake.  I think everyone had a great time. Today was a very fun day.  We went to the Santa Anita Race Track with Aunt Becca and Mr. Will.  Even though the race track is so close to our home we’ve never actually been there.  It’s a beautiful facility.  We hung out in the in field and watched 4 races.  There was a race was on the grass track which was very close to where we were standing.  We even got to watch them line the horses up in the starting gate before the race.  On our way out we checked out the horses in the stalls preparing to race.  We hope to go back again soon.  Maybe once the weather cools down a bit…
