Wildlife from our Trip

We saw lots of animals on our trip.IMG_0722 (1) This little guy strolled right by our car on the way to the lighthouse.  There were so many deer along the countryside.  We even had two in our backyard one night.IMG_0724 DSC_0205 We were so lucky and spotted a pod of 4 whales swimming by.DSC_0212 DSC_0180 DSC_0242 White tail deer DSC_0238 DSC_0244 (1) Tule ElkDSC_0236 DSC_0227 And lots and lots of cows!DSC_0222 IMG_0716This group was right along the road and not behind any sort of fence. I guess this is how the Point Reyes Seashore Cows live. They also had a nice view of the ocean.

Tomales Bay and Dillion Beach

After our adventures at Point Reyes we headed closer to home in Tomales Bay.  We enjoyed another great meal at Nick’s Cove and then headed to Dillion Beach for the sunsetIMG_0768Nick’s Cove in the background this time without the windIMG_0765 IMG_0757 Views of Tomales BayIMG_0787 IMG_0786 DSC_0287 Dillion BeachDSC_0303 DSC_0306 DSC_0312 (1) DSC_0320

Point Reyes Lighthouse and Drakes Beach

IMG_0737On Friday we did some exploring in the Point Reyes National Seashore.  First stop was the lighthouse.  There were incredible views from there.  Then we headed over to Drakes Beach.DSC_0143DSC_0141 DSC_0147 300 steps down to the lighthouse…DSC_0151 (1) DSC_0154 (1) IMG_0744 (1) DSC_0161 DSC_0159 DSC_0175 (1) And 300 steps back up…DSC_0246 Drakes BeachIMG_5266 (1)IMG_5271 Tide poolsDSC_0256 DSC_0264 DSC_0268 DSC_0280IMG_5258On top of the world
