Relaxing with Grandpa

What a day!  Hanging out with Grandpa and getting to play and sleep in his arms all day long.  A girl could get use to all this attention and Piper is taking it all in.  Football was on but she did remember that Steelers play sometimes on Monday, this time she didn’t get fooled by that.  Which made for a much happier baby.

Tomorrow is Steelers football night and Piper will be ready front and center to cheer on the black & gold!  Piper is well stocked on the football gear thanks to Aunt Becca, Grandma & Grandpa.

Christmas decorating

What a fun day bouncing around and decorating the house with Grandpa!  Piper was one happy girl setting up Christmas decorations and watching the house transform.  Lots of lights, sparkling bulbs and good music all around.  (If she thinks this is good, wait until she sees Beaver at Christmas)

Piper wrapped all this Christmas cheer around the usual eating, burping, snoozing and playing.  All in all she’s one stimulated girl which makes for good sleep.  Let’s see if she can hit the 7 or 8 hour mark tonight!

Light up night

Today Piper said good-bye to Grandma Snitger for a few short weeks.  Until she goes to visit all the grandparents for Christmas!  Wonder if there will be a stocking hung by the fireplace for her?  We might have to pack her one just in case nobody remembers.

So today we made the trip into Old Town with Piper to watch her very fist light-up night!  It was a little cool and there was snow, reindeer, hot chocolate and christmas carols.  She didn’t really get to watch the whole time since she was asleep.

Another interesting stride for Piper is highlighted by the top picture.  Today she held her head up the highest and for the longest time we’ve seen yet!  She’s getting very strong and soon will be running all over the place.

Happy First Thanksgiving

Piper got to experience another first today, her first Turkey Day!  What a day of wonderful smells filling the air continuing on from Grandma’s pumpkin pie last night through today’s turkey.  Then Aunt Becca came over to celebrate this the right way.  Of course, brining along a sinful side dish which added to a well rounded feast!

Tonight we’re all just sitting back and rubbing our bellies.  Tomorrow Grandma will be taking off back to Western PA.  Not to worry, a few short weeks and we’re all back together for another first.  Something about a man with a big red hat and sleigh.  Wonder if there will be anything there for Piper??

Something smells yummy

Piper woke up, ate and proceeded on with the day as normal.  Until the evening came when Grandma started baking her famous pumpkin pies!  Soon she was all alert and curious what that yummy smell was.  Little does she know about Thanksgiving tomorrow where more yummy things will fill the air!

Mom, Grandma & Grandpa took Piper into Old Town Pasadena for a little shopping and hot chocolate.  Of course, they got a little side tracked with all the attention Piper drew.  Tomorrow she’s looking forward to her very first Thanksgiving!
