Happy Daddy’s Day!

Daddy had a wonderful first Father’s day with his little girl.  They day started with a nice walk around the Rose Bowl.  It wasn’t too hot yet and Piper was able to get in her first nap as we strolled.  Then the rest of the day was full of playing together.  Piper sure loves having her Daddy around on the weekends!

Daddy’s Day Weekend

Piper and Daddy had a great day together to start the weekend.  Their first adventure was at the farmers market.  Piper just loves riding in the front carrier.  She kicked her legs nonstop and tried to grab anything that was put in front of her.  Then after lunch and a nap they headed over to the Huntington Gardens.  Lots of walking was done around the beautiful grounds and Piper even got in a quick cat nap.

Later that evening we all hung out in the backyard and watched Daddy grill up some yummy stuff for dinner.  What a great day together!

Daddy!!

Giggling with my eyes closed.

Bubbles

Piper started to say “mama” alot today!  She threw in some dadas but this is the first time we’ve heard mama over and over.  Also, the raspberries were back with a bit of a tongue roll at the end.  She’s spicing things up!

We went out to lunch together and Piper got to sit in the booth and play with the purses.  She’s so good when we go out and just entertains herself.  After, lunch Grandma and Piper played with bubbles in the backyard.  Piper looked confused that she couldn’t catch the bubbles and put them in her mouth.

Then, daddy came home and she went for a ride on his shoulders.  She thought it was the best thing and was all smiles and giggles.  Poor daddy was in pain because she had a death grip on his hair.

Tonight we said goodbye to Grandma which wasn’t too hard because we know we will see her in a few short weeks back in Beaver.  We are looking forward to it!

‘Granny-Nanny’ final days

Today, was Grandma’s last day filling in as Granny Nanny.  She absorbed every minute and wished her time wasn’t coming to an end.  They’ve really become great buddies over the last weeks and have bonded so much.  Piper just lights up with all kinds of smiles when Grandma’s around which just melts her heart.  It was so nice that Grandma could come out and help take care of our little girl and we want to thank her again for all her help!

Grandpa and Grandma Deelo stopped by for a quick visit today before headding up North for a little sightseeing.  They brought cousin Gabby along with them which was a fun family gathering.

Piper and Gracie at the Park

Piper met up with her friend Gracie at the Lacy park today.  They had so much fun together swinging, sliding and playing on the horses.  Piper especially loved riding the horses because it was just like her bouncy toy at home.  Her little legs kicked up a storm and she had the biggest smile on her face.  It was just adorable and wish we had photos to capture her excitement.  After playing they settled on a blanket in the shade.  Piper had a wonderful time and can’t wait to do it again!

This was also the first day we were able to transfer a sleeping Piper from the car seat to crib while she continued her nap.
