What a eventful day this turned out to be for Piper.  She got up a little early to catch a quick breakfast then was off to the farmer’s market with daddy for fresh dinner fixin’s.  Then they made a trip to Trader Joe’s to complete the outing.  Finally it was back home to start the cooking for the guests tonight.

Auntie Becca, Uncle Tom, Uncle Mike &  Aunt Christine all came by for a dinner.  Uncle Tom happens to be in town from Memphis to cover the Grammy Awards tomorrow and was able to stop by and see Piper (and mommy & daddy).  What a fun evening with family, food and great desserts.  Hopefully they’ll be back soon so we can do this all again!

Piper got a care package in the mail today from Grandma Snitger.  Inside was a Valentine’s Teddy Bear that Piper adores.  She was trying to eat him up so much that we had to give her the pacifier.  Yes, Piper is taking to the pacifier from time to time now that she is getting used to the bottle.  We mainly use it in the evening as she’s struggling to stay awake.

Her and Mr. Bear got so cozy together that Piper took a quick cat nap with him before it was bath time.  Isn’t she the cutest?!

We don’t know what happened to Piper last night but she woke up at 1:00AM crying.  We tried ignoring her in hopes she would settle down but the cries just got worse.  After, she calmed down she never managed to sleep very soundly.  She turned herself sideways again and got her head stuck so we had to intervene many times.  Finally having to feed her at 4:30AM because she woke herself up and was wide awake.  What happened to our sound sleeper?

Today, Jen got a visit from an old co-worker.  It was great to see Gina and to catch up.  After that the day progressed as usual. 

Piper had a pleasant day today which started off at 5:00 am when she managed to turn herself sideways in her crib.  She would have been ok but she kept knocking her noggin off the side. Daddy got up to gently ‘adjust’ her position and Piper decided it was time to get up!  So with mommy’s help, she went back to sleep for a little bit longer.

The rest of the day went well.  She had a visit from Kate who will be watching her while mommy is at work.  Kate had the touch and Piper really warmed up to her.  We only hope that continues!!  She fed her then they had some silly time together. Then, mommy took Piper for a little retail therapy to round out the day.  By the time it was all said and done, daddy was home again and getting Piper ready for bath time.  Now it’s off to sleep and to start it all up again in the morning.  Let’s hope it’s a little later in the morning!

It was another sunny cool day here.  Piper kept mommy busy with play time, reading and eating (in no particular order).  After a stroll around the neighborhood we headed to the polls to cast our vote.  Then Piper was off to bed, not such a ‘super tuesday’ but perfect for her!
