Piper was all decked out in another adorable fall outfit and is quite the fashion plate.  It’s just too bad she always appears so troubled in the photos.  We need to work with her on that. 

Jen and Grandma enjoyed a wonderful lunch together in Old Town (thanks to Daddy!).  Piper stayed home and had intellectual discussions with her Daddy.  Both looked a little sleepy but really bonding well.

Piper enjoyed a nice warm bath to get her in the mood for beddy-by-time tonight.  She wanted to show Grandma how well she’s doing with bath time and was on her best behavior.  Everything went according to plan and she ended up hungry and tired.  Now, let’s just see if she’ll sleep 4 hours!

We gave Piper her very first bottle today and she seemed to take well to it.  Daddy gave her a half ounce between feedings to start working it in slowly. So far so good and we’re hoping for the best.

Today starts our last week with Grandma and we’re really going to miss her.  We’ve been doing our best to talk her into staying longer but she’s set on what she wants (she and Piper are definitely related).  We know those of you who need her back East don’t want to hear that, so don’t worry we can’t change her mind but we would love it if she extended her time with us. 

Piper got into a fashion mood today and couldn’t wait to put on her latest apparel from Auntie Becca.  The ensemble includes a beautiful purple dress highlighted with pink hearts and tiny stars.  She prefers the combo since it really accents the blue in her eyes.  The runway time got cut a little short and the cameras went away when hunger suddenly descended upon her. 

We then started taking note of her remarkably cute features.  Hands, ears, nose, mouth…. and oh my, what the heck are those?!! …could they be? nah.. no way those are too…

Well, let’s just say she has a very good ‘under-standing’ of life…  or she’ll never come up short.  OK, you get the idea.  Piper has an excellent starting point and just taking in all the attention from Grandma, Mom and Dad.  Tomorrow it’s the weekend, let’s hope she starts off on the right foot!  (sorry bad joke… really couldn’t help it)

Today, was Jen’s original due date and it’s still amazing to us that Piper is here with us.  We’re so glad she came early and we are enjoying every minute of it.  Piper seemed a bit excited too and spent the day coming up with new and interesting sounds.  Some cute, some not so cute and others that just make your quiver inside.  All in all, Piper had great quality time with Mom, Dad and Grandma.  Happy due date Piper!
